Pondicherry UG Admissions 2020 Open through CENTAC

Pondicherry UG Admissions 2020 are now open. The Centralised Admission Committee (Centac) has invited online applications for various UG courses in Puducherry . The last day for submission of applications is August 5.

Applications are invited for the academic year 2020-21 for undergraduate arts and science courses : B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.B.A., & B.C.A.;  fine arts courses and non-NEET UG professional courses including B. Tech B. Sc. Agri & Horti, B. V.Sc, B. Sc Nursing, B.P.T. , B. Sc (M..L.T), M.R.I.T, B.Pharm and B.A.LLB (5 years).

How to Apply 

Candidates must register online and submit filled-in online applications through the CENTAC portal here before 5 p.m on August 5

Other state candidates can apply under ‘Other States’ quota for both UG Non-NEET Professional Courses and UG Arts & Science Courses.

CENTAC admits around 4260 students to 26 different arts ands science courses in 6 colleges (2 government and 4 aided ) in Puducherry namely Bharathidasan Govt College for Women, Tagore Government Arts and Science College, Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science, Kathirkamam, Rajiv Gandhi Arts and Science College, Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Arts College and Kasthurba College for Women, Villianur. Performing arts and visual arts degrees are offered by Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam.

Over 5400 seats are available for professional courses through CENTAC.

Self -attested photo copies of mark sheets and recent photograph must be submitted along with filled-in application form online. Residence certificate (for government quota seats) or supporting certificates if claiming reservations under various categories (Community / Persons with Disability / Freedom Fighter / Ex-serviceman / Meritorious Sports Persons) etc must also be attached.

Waiver on fresh certificates 

Students who are unable to obtain fresh residence or community certificates due to Covid-19 scenario,  can apply with existing certificates they have obtained in or after 2018. However, they have to furnish fresh certificates within one month, according to a notification on the CENTAC website.
